Like all the best things in life the Two Brewers story starts with a canoe trip and a campfire. Talking late into the night, engineers and old friends, Alan Hansen and Bob Baxter hatched a plan for a craft brewery in Whitehorse. Yukon Brewing was established in 1997, fast forward to 2009 and the two brewers purchased a still to take their craft brewing journey to the next level. Applying their brewing expertise Two Brewers is distilled in small batches with a variety of malted and roasted grains, using different fermentation techniques and a mix of barrels. By exploring different production methods no two releases are the same, and each has a unique character of its own. Two Brewers was named Artisan Producer of the Year in the 2023 Canadian Whisky Awards. Our first release from Two Brewers in the UK is from their Classic line.
Our first release from Two Brewers is from their Classic line. No tricks or traps, Release 35 is a no nonsense Canadian Single Malt Whisky from the Yukon, for your contemplation.
Release 35 has been created from a marriage of whisky distilled from fourteen different mashes matured in ex-bourbon barrels and virgin oak casks, all matured for at least 8 years.
The intricate nose is worth mulling, giving textures of baking spice, ripe fruit and fresh hewn oak. The creamy entry is bright and assertive, spice wrapped sweetness flowing and growing across the palate. A tangle lingers, drying oak with fine sugars and sprinkled spice.

Bottled in August 2022, this is a limited edition of 132 numbered 700ml bottles, and a further 959 750ml bottles, which were released in Canada. Release 35 was awarded Gold in the 2023 Canadian Whisky Awards.

Peat smoke wafts from the glass in abundance but never in excess, fading into shadows of rich leather and fresh green tobacco. Light and sweet, crescendoing to a crash of candied ginger and over-ripe banana, ensconced perpetually in wispy, raspy smoke.

Finished in former Pedro Ximenex sherry casks this Single Malt sings of luxury. Decadent sherry influence drapes across the palate, made richer by sturdy oak and a fleeting wisp of teasing smoke.
