Just Landed: Angels’ Nectar Oloroso Sherry Cask Edition 46%

Inspired by the Angels’ share, our intention with Angels’ Nectar is to showcase contrasting styles of Scotch Whisky with a series of small batch releases. Our latest release, distilled in Highland Perthshire, is a single malt which has been matured for six years in former oloroso sherry casks, and bottled at 46%. It is a limited edition of 2244 bottles. The nine casks for this release came from the same parcel of casks as the single cask we bottled at cask strength in 2022. Together these two releases mark a step change for Angels’ Nectar, being the first releases from casks matured by the company. 

The oloroso sherry casks have given this whisky a wonderful dark colour, and created a rich sherrybomb of a whisky with a refined sweet nose with hints of polished mahogany, followed by fudge and moist fruit cake on the taste. This dram delivers morish sherry elegance.
